A beautifying milk is thinner than a cream and thicker than a toner, which is a useful consistency for something you are applying over a large area every day.
Clear Essence build this one on lemon extract and vitamin C, both aimed at the look of uneven tone. Used consistently it softens the appearance of dark spots and the patches left behind by old blemishes or sun, and it evens out overall tone rather than lightening the skin as a whole. The base is moisturising, so it is not the drying, astringent experience vitamin C products sometimes are, and skin is left soft rather than tight.
Four ounces is a small bottle, so it is best used on the areas that need it rather than head to toe. Apply to clean skin and let it absorb before anything goes on top. As with any vitamin C product, follow with sunscreen if you are using it in the morning.
