Application tips
Dry the hair completely first. A straightener on damp hair is how ends get wrecked.
Work in sections no thicker than a couple of centimetres, clip the rest up, and take one slow pass per section rather than four fast ones. Start a centimetre off the root. Let each section cool before you touch it, since that is when the shape sets.
Results
The result is flat and smooth with a glassy finish, and one pass usually does what several used to. The ceramic heats evenly across the plate, so there is no scorched streak where a hot spot sat.
Frizz stays down and the style holds until the next wash on most hair types. Sections slide off the plate cleanly rather than dragging at the ends.
