Cream shampoo is the right format for textured hair, and it took the industry a long time to accept that. A clear, foaming shampoo strips as it cleans. This one is thick, low-lathering and built on 100% pure shea butter, so it takes the dirt and build up off without taking the moisture with it.
You will get less foam than you may be used to, which is normal and not a sign that nothing is happening. Massage it into the scalp, work it down the lengths, and hair comes out clean but still soft enough to detangle without a fight.
400 ml / 13.53 oz, sulphate-free, and made for the denser end of the spectrum: 3b through 4c curls and coils, particularly if your hair squeaks after washing with anything else.

Application tips
Start at the scalp rather than the ends. Wet the hair right through, apply in four or five places, and massage with the pads of the fingers for a minute.
Let the runoff cleanse the lengths instead of piling more on. Rinse thoroughly. After a week of heavy butter or gel, a second short round is worth the extra minute.
Results
Hair comes out clean but never squeaky, and it stays soft enough while wet to get a comb through without a conditioner doing all the rescuing.
Coils keep their clumps through the wash rather than exploding into a tangle. The scalp feels clear, and colour-treated lengths hold their tone better than they do under a foaming shampoo.
