The finish is soft and weighty rather than light, so hair from 2A through 3C gets real moisture out of it, and denser curls in particular stop feeling straw-like by the end of the week. It also gives enough slip to detangle under the shower, which is where you want to be doing that job. Split ends and mid-shaft breakage are usually a dryness problem before they are anything else, and a conditioner that actually softens the strand deals with the cause rather than the symptom.
Apply to washed hair, comb through with your fingers, leave two or three minutes, rinse. 400ml lasts a while even at that rate.

Application tips
Be generous with it. Most people badly under-apply conditioner, and a bottle this size is meant to be used properly.
Squeeze the water out first, then take a palmful through each section and detangle while it is on. Rinse in cool water. On a deep conditioning day, leave it under a cap with a little warmth and give it fifteen minutes.
Results
The finish is weighty rather than airy, which is what dense curls want and what fine hair should be careful with. Straw-feeling lengths soften by the end of the rinse.
Slip is good enough to get a comb through 3C and 4B hair in the shower, and the softness holds for several days rather than disappearing overnight.
