Cantu For Kids Tear-Free Nourishing Shampoo 8 oz / 237 ml - Gentle Cleansing for Kids' Curls
Wash day with a child is a negotiation, and most of it comes down to tangles and stinging eyes.
This one removes the second problem outright. The formula is tear-free, so a bit of suds down the forehead does not end the bath.
Shea butter, coconut oil and honey handle the rest. The shampoo cleans without stripping, and it leaves enough softness in the hair that a wide-tooth comb can get through afterwards without a fight. On curls, coils and waves that means less breakage and a shorter session, which at that age is really the only measure worth having.
The 8 oz bottle is a sensible size for a child's routine. Work it into a wet scalp, rinse well, then go straight into a conditioner or detangler while the hair is still soaked.

Application tips
Wet the hair right through first, which halves how much you need. Apply at the scalp in three or four places and massage with fingertips, not nails.
One wash is usually enough on a child. Rinse until the water runs clear, then condition. Tear-free helps, but tipping the head back still beats hoping for the best.
Results
Hair comes out clean without the stripped, squeaky feel that sets up a difficult comb-through afterwards. The lather is modest, which is normal for a gentle cleanser and not a sign it is doing nothing.
Curls stay soft and separate while wet, the scalp feels fresh rather than tight, and nothing stings on the way past the eyes.
