Cantu For Kids Leave-In Conditioner 10 oz / 283 gm - For Fragile Coils, Curls & Waves
The step people skip is the leave-in, and it is the one that decides how the rest of the day goes.
Rinse-out conditioner leaves with the water. A leave-in stays, which is why hair still feels soft an hour later. Cantu's version for children is a 283 gm cream built on shea butter. It goes on after the rinse, while the hair is still wet, and does its work in the lengths rather than the roots. Expect easier detangling first, then less frizz through the day, then fewer broken ends over a few weeks of use.
Apply in sections to soaking wet hair, comb through, then style or leave it. It is thick enough for coils that drink product and light enough that finer curls do not go flat. Good for fragile type 2 through type 3 hair that dries out between washes.
It also gives you a base to build on. Follow it with a curl cream or a gel and the leave-in is the layer holding water in while the styler holds the shape, so neither has to do both jobs badly. On a school night it is fine on its own with nothing over the top.

Application tips
After the bath, on hair still dripping. A palmful for a full head, less for a fine one, smoothed through the mid-lengths and ends and then finger-combed from the bottom up.
Leave it in. Style straight after, while the hair is still damp, since a leave-in does most of its work in the window before hair dries.
Results
Fragile coils come out soft and biddable, and stay that way overnight, so the next morning is a comb and go rather than a rescue mission. Tangles form more slowly through the week.
The cream is rich but it does not flatten fine hair, and the curl pattern stays visible instead of being smoothed into a single sheet.
Composition
- Shea Butter
- Softens fragile coils and keeps them from tangling overnight
