Camille Rose Nangai & Tsubaki Strength Restore Hair Oil for Stronger, Healthier Hair 4 oz
Two oils most people have not used before. Nangai comes from a nut grown in Vanuatu and it is unusually rich and slow to absorb. Tsubaki is camellia oil, the one Japanese hairdressing has leaned on for centuries, and it is the opposite: light, fine and quick to sink in.
Putting them together gives an oil that coats and penetrates at once, which is what makes it useful on hair that has been heat styled or is snapping at the ends.
- Reduces breakage along the lengths and at the ends
- Smooths split ends down so they read less obviously
- Puts shine back into hair that has gone flat and dull
- Sits between the hair and the heat when you blow dry or straighten
- Light enough not to weigh a loose curl down
A few drops on damp lengths before drying, or on dry hair as a finish. Four ounces of something this concentrated lasts a long time. Suited to type 2a through 3c hair that feels weak or over-styled. 4 oz.

Application tips
Three or four drops for shoulder length hair, warmed in the palms and pressed into the mid lengths and ends. Keep it away from the roots unless your scalp runs very dry.
Before heat, apply to damp hair and comb through so coverage is even. As a finish, use half as much on dry hair and press rather than rake, or you will flatten the curl.
Results
Ends stop looking wispy and split, and the length holds together when you run a hand down it. Shine returns to hair that had gone flat and matte from heat.
The two oils behave differently on the strand. One sinks in fast, the other stays on the surface, so hair reads conditioned inside and smooth outside without feeling greasy.
Composition
- Nangai Oil
- Rich and slow to absorb, so it coats and smooths the outside of the strand
- Tsubaki Oil
