Protein in a shampoo is a balancing act. Too much and curls go brittle, too little and there was no point including it. Bounce Curl keeps the level low enough for regular use, so this reads as a moisturising wash with a bit of structure rather than a protein treatment.

Application tips
One wash is usually enough. Soak the hair, take a small amount and concentrate it entirely at the scalp, working in circles with the pads of the fingers.
Let the lather rinse down the lengths rather than scrubbing it in, since the ends do not need cleaning so much as leaving alone. If you use heavy stylers, a second short wash is fine. Follow with conditioner while the hair is still wet.
Results
Roots come out properly clean while the lengths keep their moisture, which is the balance a curly shampoo lives or dies on. Curls dry defined rather than fluffy, frizz is lower from the wash itself, and hair feels soft rather than squeaky. Nothing coats the strand, so there is no gradual dulling over weeks of use.
