Bounce Curl Hydra Drench Cleansing Conditioner: Hydrating & Cleansing for Curly, Wavy, & Coily Hair 236ml/7.98 oz
A cleansing conditioner replaces shampoo on the days when shampoo is too much. That is the whole idea: enough gentle cleansing to shift sweat, oil and product, without the stripping that leaves curls squeaky and then frizzy an hour later.
Bounce Curl's Hydra Drench is free of sulphates and silicones, so nothing in it is going to build up and nothing in it is going to strip. You use it like a conditioner, massaging into the scalp with your fingertips rather than your nails, then rinsing thoroughly. It suits wavy hair at 2A right through to 4C coils, though tighter textures will get the most out of it since they can rarely afford a harsh cleanser.
The 236ml bottle is small for a co-wash, which is worth knowing if you have a lot of hair. Treat it as the one to try before committing.
Between full washes it also works as a mid-week refresh: wet the hair, massage it through, rinse, style damp.

Application tips
Use more than you would think, because a co-wash has to do two jobs with one product. On long or dense hair, work in four sections and treat each one separately.
Massage at the scalp for a full minute so the movement lifts the oil, then pull the rest down the lengths and detangle while everything is slippery. Rinse until the roots feel clean and the lengths still feel soft.
Results
Clean without the tightness that follows a stripping wash, and the curl pattern is left intact rather than swollen. Slip is the obvious benefit: knots come apart during the wash instead of afterwards. Moisture is still there when the hair dries, so a leave-in has less work to do. Nothing builds up over repeated use.
