Blue Magic Originals Castor Oil Hair & Scalp Conditioner 12 oz / 340 gm - For Healthy Hair & Scalp
This one is sold by weight rather than volume, which tells you most of what you need to know: it is a solid dressing in a tub, not a pour-out conditioner. You take a small amount on a fingertip, warm it, and put it where the hair needs holding together. Nothing gets rinsed.
The base is castor oil, with jojoba, aloe and shea butter in the mix. Jojoba is the closest thing in a jar to what the scalp makes on its own, so it sits comfortably on skin. Shea gives the tub its body and its staying power on coarse ends. Aloe stops the whole thing feeling like wax.
What it is good at:
- Sealing ends between wash days so they stay soft
- Greasing a parted scalp during a braid or twist install
- Smoothing edges without the crunch of a gel
- Keeping protective styles from drying out by week two
Use it sparingly. Tub products are easy to overdo and hard to undo without a clarifying wash. Type 3b through 4c. 12 oz / 340 gm.

Application tips
A fingertip is a serving. Warm it until it goes slack, then choose one job and do it properly rather than spreading it thin over the whole head.
Edges take a smear worked in with a soft brush and tied down with a scarf for twenty minutes. Ends take a pinch, pressed on rather than raked in. Scalp work happens along a fresh parting, not through the roots.
Results
Ends stay soft and stop looking dusty between wash days, which is where length quietly gets lost. Edges lie down without the crisp shell a gel leaves, and they stay down through the day. On the scalp it takes the tight feeling away without the sting of an alcohol-based product. Protective styles keep their moisture into the second and third week.
