Application tips
Squeeze the water out first. A mask cannot get into a strand that is already full of water, so blot with an old T-shirt until the hair stops dripping.
Then coat in sections, ends and mid-lengths heaviest, roots barely at all. Cover with a cap and leave it while you do something else. Rinse in cool water, working the sections apart with your fingers as you go.
Results
Curls that had gone loose and shapeless start holding their pattern again, and the halo of frizz around the edges settles down. Strands stretch rather than snapping when you tug gently at a curl. Hair feels dense and soft under the hand rather than slippery. The gain builds over several uses rather than arriving all at once.
