Application tips
Detangle before the shampoo goes anywhere near the hair, not after. Once it is soaked, apply in four sections and squeeze the lather down the length rather than piling everything on top and scrubbing.
Fingertips at the scalp, palms on the length. Rinse each section in turn and clip it away, which stops clean hair re-tangling with the rest while you work.
Results
Knots loosen through the wash rather than tightening into a mat, which is the usual complaint about shampoo on coily hair. The hair rinses out soft and pliable, so the conditioner behind it goes further.
Dryness is less obvious straight out of the shower, the frizz that normally rises as it dries stays flatter, and combing afterwards costs you fewer strands.
