Jojoba is the reason. It is closer to the skin's own sebum than most plant oils, so it absorbs rather than pooling, and it does not clog the way heavier oils can. On hair it adds shine and softness without a greasy strip down the parting.
Sensible uses:
- A few drops through damp ends after washing
- Massaged into a dry, tight-feeling scalp between washes
- Along the hairline and nape under a protective style
- On cuticles, elbows and rough patches, since it is formulated for skin as well
8 oz goes a long way at three or four drops a time. Fine on type 2a through 3c hair, and light enough that people who normally avoid oils tend to tolerate it.
