A masque is the step you reach for when the normal conditioner has stopped being enough. Curl Spell is thicker than a rinse-out, meant to sit on the hair for a few minutes rather than washing straight back off, and it works on the moisture side of things rather than protein.
Waves and looser curls get overlooked by deep treatments. Most are built for tight coils and leave 2b or 3a hair flat for days afterwards. This one comes in an 8oz tub and puts moisture back without that weight, so the pattern still moves once the hair is dry.
After shampoo, squeeze the water out, then apply through the mid-lengths and ends a section at a time. Leave it while you finish washing, comb through with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb, and rinse. Once a week is plenty for most people, more often if you heat style or your water is hard.
It suits type 2a through 3b hair that reads dry rather than damaged.
