Dry hair on a child is usually a wash-day problem rather than a product problem. Too much detergent, too little conditioning, and by midweek the hair is rough and every comb-through is a fight.
AtOne's children's shampoo goes the other way. It cleans gently, holds moisture in rather than taking it out, and leaves enough smoothness on the cuticle that a comb moves through without catching. Application tips
Wet the hair completely, then use a small amount, about a teaspoon for a young child.
Rub it between your hands first so it does not land in one lump. Wash the scalp with your fingertips rather than your nails, and let the lather carry down the lengths on its own. Rinse for longer than you think. One wash is enough unless sand or chlorine is involved.
Results
The balance is right for a child: clean, but not stripped, so the hair does not turn into a tangle the second it dries.
The cuticle stays smooth enough for a comb to move through, which shortens the argument afterwards. Dry, brittle children's hair keeps some softness rather than squeaking, and curls and waves hold their shape instead of frizzing up.
