A smoothie sits between a curl cream and a butter. Thicker than a leave-in, softer than a pomade, and easy to spread through wet hair in sections. That texture is what makes it a one-product wash day for a lot of people.

This one is built on Jamaican black castor oil and it is aimed at textured, curly and coily routines that need dependable moisture without residue building up over the week. Used consistently it keeps hair softer, cuts down the roughness that leads to snagging, and makes styling outcomes more predictable, which matters more over a month than any single dramatic result.

The 16 oz tub is a working size rather than a trial one, so it suits anyone styling several times a week, or anyone doing two heads of hair out of the same jar. Best on type 3b through 4c.

Application tips

Section soaking wet hair into four, then take a heaped scoop and smooth it down each part from root to tip.

Rake it through, then either shingle small pieces for definition or scrunch for volume. It spreads a long way, so start with less than you think. Air dry or diffuse, and do not add a second product on top until this one has dried in.

Results

Coils clump together instead of separating into frizz, and the finish stays soft rather than setting hard.

Roughness along the strand drops off, which is what stops the comb snagging. Hair keeps its moisture through the week, so a fourth day style is still wearable. Thick enough to hold a twist-out overnight without anything else layered over it.

Composition

Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Softens coily strands and keeps the moisture in past wash day
