A leave-in earns its keep between washes rather than during them. This one comes from the As I Am Dry and Itchy Scalp Care range and stays in the hair after everything else has rinsed away, which is why the weight of it matters so much.

It is light. That is the design brief for the whole range, comfort at the scalp without heaviness in the hair. It spreads evenly from root to lengths, so detangling stays controlled and less punishing on fragile strands.

Where it fits:

  • After washing, on damp hair, before you style
  • On day three, to bring dryness down without a full rewash
  • Through the week when a scalp is starting to feel tight
  • Inside low-manipulation routines where you handle hair as little as possible

8 oz. Made for curly, coily and wavy textures, and light enough that it will not pull a looser pattern flat.

Application tips

Aim it at the parting rather than the hair. Section, apply along the exposed scalp, then rub what is left through the lengths.

It sinks in quickly, so there is no waiting before you style. Between washes, damp the hair with water first and it spreads much further. Small amounts often rather than a lot occasionally, which is what stops a leave-in building up.

Results

The tight, dry feeling at the roots eases and stays eased for a few days at a time.

Hair keeps enough moisture through the week to handle without breakage, and the lengths stay soft rather than going dry and fluffy by day three. It sits light enough that looser curl patterns keep their lift, with no residue left on your hands or the pillow.

Composition

The full INCI is printed on the pack. We publish it here as soon as the brand supplies it, and we will read it off the bottle for you if you ask.
