As I Am CocoShea Whip Intense Moisture & Styling for Natural Hair 8 oz
Whip is the accurate word. It is aerated, so an 8 oz jar goes further than the same weight of a dense butter, and it spreads over a section without you having to press it in. Coconut oil and shea butter again, but concentrated into a styling cream rather than a spray. This is the one for wash day, when the goal is definition with real moisture behind it: curls that hold their shape and still feel soft two days later.
- Rich moisture that lasts past the first day
- Defines curls, coils and afro textures
- Shine without a greasy surface
- Whipped texture, so a small scoop covers a section
Take a scoop, warm it between your palms, then smooth it through damp hair section by section and shape the curl however you want it. Air dry or diffuse. It is aimed at type 3B through 4C hair that goes dry and brittle without a heavy cream in the routine.

Application tips
Emulsify it properly first.
A whipped cream taken straight from the jar to the hair lands in lumps, and lumps dry white. Rub it between your palms until it turns clear, then smooth over damp sections and rake through with your fingers.
Twist, coil or braid from there. On fine hair, use it only from the mid lengths down.
Results
Curls come out soft and defined with real weight in them, and the definition survives past the first day.
Dry ends stop looking dusty. The finish is rich rather than crunchy, so hair moves and can be touched without collapsing. On coils it doubles as a sealing step, holding moisture in after a leave-in rather than sitting on top of it.
Composition
- Coconut Oil
- Sinks into the strand, softening coarse hair from the inside
- Shea Butter
- Gives the whip its weight and seals the length for days
