Application tips
One wash suits most weeks, two if you have been layering butters or gels. The second lather always does more than the first, since the first is busy shifting product.
Concentrate on the scalp and leave the lengths alone. Damaged hair rubbed against itself in a lather is how mid shaft splits begin. Rinse until there is no slip left, then condition.
Results
No tightness, and no squeak either.
Hair stays soft while it is still wet, and wet is when damaged hair is at its most fragile. The scalp feels genuinely clear of residue, and the lengths keep enough moisture to comb through afterwards.
Over a few washes, porous, rough feeling hair reads smoother and takes conditioner better, because the surface underneath is in better order.
