The T-Outliner has been in barbershop drawers for decades, and the reason is the blade. A square carbon-steel T-blade with the teeth running out past the edge of the housing, so you can push it right up to a line and see exactly where the cut lands.

That geometry is what makes it an outliner rather than a general trimmer. Necklines, temples, the edge of a beard, hair designs cut freehand: anywhere the finish depends on a straight line, this is the tool that draws it.

  • Carbon-steel T-blade for close outlining and crisp edges
  • High-speed magnetic motor with consistent power through thick hair
  • Heavy-duty housing built for daily shop use
  • Doubles as a dry shaver and a beard trimmer

Keep the blade oiled and aligned and it holds its edge through a great deal of work.

Application tips

Work on dry, clean hair and start away from the line you are cutting, coming in towards it so you can see where the blade sits.

Hold the trimmer flat for a shave and use the corner of the T-blade for the line itself. Short strokes. Oil the blade before every use and check the alignment: teeth level, not overhanging, or the line will not come out straight.

Results

Lines come out sharp enough to hold up close, which is the entire test for an outliner. Necklines, temples and beard edges finish crisp rather than fuzzy, and the magnetic motor keeps its speed going into thick hair instead of bogging down. Used dry as a shaver it takes hair down close without pulling. Kept oiled and aligned, it holds that standard for years.
