Application tips
Comb goes in first, iron follows behind it.
Take a section, draw the comb through from root to tip to clear any tangle, then run the iron directly behind the teeth while the comb keeps the hair taut. Work in sections narrow enough to see through. Keep the teeth clear of the hot plates themselves. On coarse hair, pull the section tighter before the iron reaches it.
Results
Sections come out smoother in one pass, which means fewer passes and less heat overall. The fine teeth flatten the cuticle as they travel, so most of the frizz and flyaway control has already happened before the iron arrives. Parting is cleaner too. You get the finish of three anxious passes with an iron alone, without what those passes cost the ends.
