Africa's Best Originals Stimulating Growth Oil Tea Tree 4 oz
Tea tree is a scalp ingredient before it is a hair one, and this bottle is best understood that way. The 4 oz oil goes into the roots, and the reason to pick it over the coconut or olive versions is a scalp that feels dry and tight rather than hair that feels rough.
What you notice on application is the cooling. Tea tree has a clean, sharp scent and a slight coolness on the skin, and on a scalp that has been uncomfortable all day that is worth something on its own.
Beyond the scalp it does the ordinary oil jobs. It conditions dry, brittle lengths, keeps them flexible enough to bend instead of snapping, and puts shine back into dull hair.
Part the hair, apply along the parting, and massage it in with fingertips rather than nails. Then take whatever is left through the lengths.
Suits wavy through 3c hair, and best for anyone whose scalp is the reason they are shopping rather than their ends.

Application tips
Work on a dry head, and do it in rows.
Part with the end of a comb, run the nozzle down the exposed skin, and press it in with the flat pads of your fingers. Move the parting an inch and repeat until the whole scalp is covered. Whatever stays on your hands goes through the ends. Leave it in, or wash it out next morning.
Results
The cooling starts almost immediately and settles into a clean, sharp freshness that lasts.
A scalp that has felt dry and tight all day is more comfortable for it. Down the lengths the oil does the plainer job of conditioning, keeping brittle strands bendy enough to survive a comb and putting some shine back into flat, dull hair.
