It is a daily product rather than a wash-day one. Worked through damp hair after washing, or through dry hair between washes, it softens the strand, cuts frizz and makes the next comb-through easier. Hair holds moisture longer and the ends stop looking rough by day three.

Application tips
Dispense into the palm rather than straight onto the head, so you can see how much you have got.
Half a teaspoon covers shoulder-length hair. Smooth it over the surface of each section first, then rake through with the fingers to reach the inside. No rinsing. Top up the ends midweek rather than reapplying to the whole head, which is where heaviness creeps in.
Results
Dry hair drinks it up and holds its softness through the day rather than for an hour.
Frizz lies down, the strand feels supple instead of papery, and the ends look tidier well into the week. The next detangle is quicker, which is where a daily leave-in earns its keep.
Coarse, breakage-prone textures get the most from it, though fine hair wants a smaller dose.
