Getting the strength right matters more than most people realise. Too strong and you over process, too mild and you are back doing it again in a fortnight. The system is no lye, so it is milder on a young scalp than a traditional lye relaxer, and it carries natural conditioners and moisturisers alongside the straightening chemistry. Application tips
Regular strength is the one to start with. Moving up only makes sense if a strand test says the hair will not take it.
Skip washing for two or three days beforehand. Base the scalp and the hairline, section into four, and on a retouch apply to the new growth only. Rinse fully, neutralise with the shampoo in the kit, then condition.
Results
Hair straightens smoothly without being pushed harder than it needs to be. Styling gets simpler: a comb goes through in one pass, plaits sit flat, and a ponytail takes seconds rather than minutes. The conditioners in the system keep the hair soft and shiny through the process instead of leaving it parched. The scalp comes through comfortable, which decides whether it ever gets done again.
