Comb out time is where most children's hair routines fall apart, and a detangling lotion is the single product that changes it. Shea butter is the conditioning agent here, softening the strand enough that the comb passes through instead of catching.
Beyond detangling, it is a moisturiser. Dry hair takes hydration back, shine comes up, and the texture is left silky and easier to style. Because it cuts the tugging, it also cuts the breakage that comes from forcing a comb through knots, which over time means length that stays on the head.
Use it on wash day before combing, and again on dry hair through the week when things start to tangle up again. Work from the ends towards the roots rather than the other way round.

Application tips
Dampen the hair first, either straight out of the bath or with a spray bottle, then apply section by section from the ends up.
Comb each section through while it is still wet and pin it out of the way before starting the next. Two or three sections covers most children. Style immediately afterwards, or leave it to dry loose.
Results
Combing stops being a battle. Knots slide apart rather than needing to be dragged through, which means fewer tears and less hair left in the brush. The lotion is light enough that fine children's hair keeps its bounce and moisturising enough that it is still soft the next morning. Hair looks shinier and holds a plait or a puff without frizzing by home time.
