African Pride Moisture Miracle Honey & Coconut Oil Shampoo – For Natural Coils & Curls, Sulfate Free, Color Safe, 12 oz (3 Pack)
Coils lose more than dirt when a shampoo is too harsh. They lose the oil that was keeping them soft. This one is sulphate-free, so it lathers and lifts buildup while leaving the hair's own oils where they are.
Honey holds moisture and adds a low shine, coconut oil conditions as the shampoo cleanses. The formula leaves out parabens, mineral oil, sulphates and petrolatum, and it is safe on colour-treated hair.
- Clears product buildup, sweat and dust without the squeaky, stripped feel
- Keeps coils soft enough to detangle straight after washing
- Colour safe, so it will not shift a recent dye job
- Comes as three 12 oz bottles, which covers a lot of wash days
Wet the hair through, massage into the scalp and lengths until it lathers, then rinse well and repeat if you need to. The second wash is usually the one that does the real work if you have been layering butters and gels all week.
Made for coily textures around type 4a. Follow with a conditioner while the hair is still wet, because coils harden up fast once they begin to dry and detangling only gets harder from there.

Application tips
Two passes, and the first one is only preparation. Lather, rinse it away with whatever sat on top of the hair, then go again with your fingertips working in rows down each parting. Nails scratch; the pads do not. Rinse until the hair squeaks less rather than more, and go straight into a conditioner while the sections are still separated and easy to comb.
Results
Coils come out clean without that tight, stripped feeling a sulphate lather leaves behind. Honey holds water in the strand and lends a low shine, coconut oil conditions while the cleansing happens, and the two together mean you can get a comb through before you have applied anything else. Colour stays where it is. Nothing here shifts a recent dye.
