Affirm Normalizing Shampoo: pH Neutralizing & Residue Removal for Relaxed Hair 950 ml/32.12 oz
Every relaxer service ends with a neutralising wash, and the salons that skip the second lather are the ones with clients whose hair breaks three weeks later. This is the bottle that step comes out of.
At 950 ml (32.12 oz) it is sized for a backbar rather than a bathroom shelf, which tells you who Affirm had in mind. The job it does is chemical rather than cosmetic. It takes hair and scalp back to a pH of roughly 4.5 to 5.5, which halts the relaxer and seals the cuticle down again.
There are conditioning agents in it as well, so hair comes off the basin soft and combable instead of squeaky and knotted, and the scalp feels settled rather than tight after processing.
Stock it if you run relaxer services. Use it if you relax at home, where the temptation to rinse once and move on is strongest and the consequences arrive later.

Application tips
Pour into a bowl rather than working from the full bottle at the basin. It saves the mess and stops you using twice what you need.
Two lathers, both left on for the full stated time. Work from the crown outward so the nape, which usually gets rinsed last and least, gets proper contact. Cool water on the final rinse.
Results
Hair and scalp are returned to the acidic range they normally sit in, somewhere around 4.5 to 5.5, which is the point at which the cuticle lies flat and moisture stops escaping.
Practically, that shows up as hair which feels like hair again. Softness without the slack, no residue squeaking on the strand, and a comb that moves through a freshly relaxed head without taking length with it.
