Shea butter in a leave-in rather than a rinse-out, which is the format that suits hair drying out within hours of a wash. You put it on damp and it stays there, so the moisture has something to hold on to through the day.
Shea is the whole formula's backbone. It softens the strand and takes the sharpness out of frizz, and because this is a lotion rather than a solid butter, it spreads without the greasy patches you get trying to melt a raw butter through the hair.

Application tips
Best applied the moment you step out of the shower, while the hair is still holding water.
Emulsify a small amount between the palms first so it goes on evenly instead of in patches. Smooth downward over each section, then rake through with the fingers to spread what is left. There is nothing to rinse. Layer a gel or a butter over the top if you want definition rather than softness alone.
Results
Frizz drops away within a minute or two of application, and hair that normally goes dry by lunchtime is still soft in the evening. The lotion texture means no greasy patches and no white residue in dark hair. Ends look less ragged and feel rounder between the fingers. Dense curls hang heavier and calmer; fine hair keeps its movement, provided the amount stayed small.
