Brilliance is built light for that reason. It protects colour and adds shine without leaving anything on the strand for gravity to work on, so fine hair keeps its volume and normal hair gets hydrated without going flat. The shine is a cuticle effect. Colour-treated hair has a roughened surface that scatters light and reads as dull, and smoothing it down is what brings the reflection back and slows the fade at the same time.
The one litre bottle is a salon size, which for a conditioner used after every single wash is the sensible way to buy it. Apply mid-lengths to ends, leave briefly, rinse cool.
