Application tips
Sit whoever is being cut lower than you and put a towel down first. Clippings travel further than anyone expects.
Comb the hair flat, choose your guard and take the first pass up the back of the head, keeping the guard flush to the scalp the whole way. Work round to the sides, then soften the join with the next guard up. Unplug before you brush the blade.
Results
Perfectly good for the tidy-ups that happen between proper haircuts: a neckline, the sides taken back down, a child's first go over the bath.
Guards keep the length level and the blades take hair cleanly rather than tugging at it, which shows up most on fine hair. Clearing up afterwards is a minute with the brush and the whole thing goes back in its box.
