The number that matters on a heat protectant is the temperature it is rated to, and this one covers up to 230°C (450°F), the top end of most flat irons. It sprays on as a weightless layer, so it works on fine hair as well as thick.
Dimethicone forms the smooth, breathable film that seals the cuticle and keeps humidity out, which is where the frizz control comes from. Argan oil adds moisture, shine and elasticity. Hydrolysed wheat protein reinforces the strand against breakage and split ends, and panthenol draws hydration into the hair shaft without adding weight.

How to use it
Before blow-drying, spray damp towel-dried hair evenly from roots to ends, holding the bottle 6 to 8 inches back. Before a flat iron or wand, work on completely dry hair, section it, mist each section lightly and give it a few seconds to settle. Leave it in.

Application tips
Section the hair first, then spray. Working blind through a full head is how you end up with one protected panel and three that are not.
Around fifteen centimetres back, one or two passes per section, then comb it through. Damp hair before a blow-dry, dry hair before an iron. Let it settle for a moment rather than going straight in with hot plates on a wet mist.
Results
Fine hair is where a heat protectant usually goes wrong, because most of them leave a coating that flattens the root within an hour. This one dries down to nothing you can feel.
The blow-dry sets faster and looks glossier, flyaways stay put, and hair that normally frizzes on the walk to work holds its shape. Split ends slow down with regular use rather than stopping altogether.
