Tresemme's Revitalise Colour Conditioner is built for colour-treated hair specifically. Colour fades for two reasons, water washing pigment out and the cuticle staying open and porous, and a colour conditioner works on the second one. Smoothing the cuticle down after every wash keeps more of the pigment where it belongs, and it has the useful side effect of making hair shinier, because a flat cuticle reflects light evenly instead of scattering it. Apply from mid-lengths to ends, leave it a moment, rinse. Use cool water for the final rinse if you can stand it, since heat opens the cuticle back up. It suits any coloured hair, and it is the sort of unglamorous, high-volume product that quietly does its job for months. Pair it with the matching shampoo for the full effect.
