That's Deep works fast because it is thin for a deep treatment. It gets into the strand quickly rather than sitting on the outside, which is what a thicker mask relies on time to achieve. Elasticity comes back, so hair stretches instead of snapping, and the slip is good enough to detangle through while it is still on. The 8 oz jar goes further than you would expect for the same reason.
It is aimed at textured hair from 3a curls through 4c coils, and it is particularly worth having if your hair is high porosity or has taken damage from heat or colour. Apply to clean damp hair in sections, wait five minutes, rinse. Weekly is plenty. It is a treatment rather than a conditioner, and using it every wash will eventually leave hair feeling limp.

Application tips
Shampoo, squeeze the water out, then go in. Soaking wet hair dilutes it and you lose the five minutes you were trying to save.
Four sections, a generous coat from the mid-lengths down, finger-combing each one as you go. Clip it up, finish the rest of your shower, rinse. On very porous hair a warm towel over the top for those same five minutes gets you more than leaving it sitting cold for twenty.
Results
Strands stretch under tension and spring back rather than parting in your fingers, which is the practical test for whether a treatment has done anything.
The comb-out afterwards is quicker. Hair dries softer than a rinse-out leaves it, with more weight at the tips and less of the papery feel that porous hair gets after colour. Nothing heavy at the root.
