That's Deep works fast because it is thin for a deep treatment. It gets into the strand quickly rather than sitting on the outside, which is what a thicker mask relies on time to achieve. Elasticity comes back, so hair stretches instead of snapping, and the slip is good enough to detangle through while it is still on. The 8 oz jar goes further than you would expect for the same reason.
It is aimed at textured hair from 3a curls through 4c coils, and it is particularly worth having if your hair is high porosity or has taken damage from heat or colour. Apply to clean damp hair in sections, wait five minutes, rinse. Weekly is plenty. It is a treatment rather than a conditioner, and using it every wash will eventually leave hair feeling limp.
