This 8 oz leave-in exists to solve the access problem. It is thin enough to get down to the scalp and along a braided length without needing to be worked in, and it stays on the hair rather than needing to be rinsed, which is the only practical option when your hair is in cornrows. Moisture goes in, gets sealed, and the strand keeps enough flex to survive the take-down.
Apply along the braid, twist or loc a couple of times a week rather than daily, and use less than you would on loose hair. Application tips
Squeeze it down each twist or braid through a closed hand rather than pushing it into the scalp, so the length gets coated evenly. Twice a week suits most styles.
Straight after a take-down the hair is at its weakest, so reach for it then, on soaking wet strands before a comb goes near them, and give the ends a second pass as you work through the tangles.
