Jamaican black castor oil is thick, dark and slightly smoky, and used neat it is too heavy for most people to put through their lengths. Blending it into a conditioner solves that. You get the oil's richness with something that actually rinses out.
The Extreme Hydrating Conditioner pairs it with keratin protein, which is the sensible combination for hair that has been over-processed. Castor oil handles the moisture side. Keratin is what hair is made of, so adding some back gives weak, porous strands something to hold onto and stops them snapping under a comb. The 10.1 oz bottle is a rinse-out, and it is rich enough that you will not need much per wash. Work it through clean damp hair, concentrate on the ends where the damage is worst, leave it a few minutes and rinse. It suits severely dry, damaged or chemically processed hair of any texture. If your hair is dry but structurally fine, a plain moisturising conditioner will serve you better than a protein one.
