Same bristle as the BOR15, different body. This is the palm version. No handle, curved bed, all boar and all soft.

  • 100% natural boar bristles, soft grade
  • Curved bed for even contact over the crown and sides
  • Palm shape, so the pressure comes from your whole hand
  • Moves the oil at the root down the length, which is where shine comes from

Palm brushes suit short hair and wave routines, and a soft boar palm brush is the one you finish on. It will not lay a coarse pattern by itself, and it is not meant to. What it will do is smooth the top layer, take out the fuzz a hard brush raises, and leave the surface even.

Wipe the bed out weekly and let it dry with the bristles facing down.

Application tips

This is the last brush of a session rather than the first. Do the moving with something firmer, then switch to this for the final two or three minutes.

Curl your fingers over the top and brush from the crown outwards, following the direction of the pattern. Short repeated strokes over the same area beat long ones. After a shower, run it over damp hair to settle everything down before a durag goes on.

Results

The top layer comes out smooth and even, with the fuzz that a harder brush raises laid back down and the pattern intact underneath.

Shine builds over a few sessions as oil from the roots gets carried along the length. Short hair looks tidier and denser. The bristles are soft enough on the scalp to keep brushing for several minutes at a stretch without any soreness.

Composition

The full INCI is printed on the pack. We publish it here as soon as the brand supplies it, and we will read it off the bottle for you if you ask.
