Pipps Hill Batana Oil Hair Conditioner 500ml
Batana oil has spent the last couple of years all over natural hair feeds, mostly sold as a raw oil you have to work into dry hair yourself. This is the easier version: a 500 ml rinse-out conditioner with the oil already blended into a sulphate-free base, so it goes on in the shower and comes back out again.
The ingredient list is short and does what you would expect from a conditioner that has to detangle. Cetearyl alcohol and behentrimonium chloride give it body and slip, glycerin holds moisture in, panthenol softens, and the batana oil sits in the middle of that doing the conditioning. Nothing exotic in the base, which is why it rinses clean rather than leaving a film behind. Squeeze the water out after shampooing, apply from mid-lengths down, leave it two to five minutes and rinse with cool water. It suits all hair types, though dry and brittle lengths get the most out of it. Frizz drops, the comb goes through, and the ends stop feeling papery.
