Neither is doing anything dramatic. They make the application pleasant, which matters for a product you use most days.
As a leave-in it is straightforward. Moisture for dry hair, enough slip to detangle, and it does not sit heavy on the strand. Split ends and breakage ease off because the hair is supple rather than brittle when you handle it, and frizz stays down through the day with some shine on top. Apply to damp hair, comb it through, style as normal, and use it on dry hair between washes when the ends need reviving.
