No.5 is the conditioner in the Olaplex system, and this is the small 3.5 oz bottle.
What separates it from an ordinary conditioner is the bond-building chemistry. Bleach, colour and relaxer break disulfide bonds inside the hair, and that structural damage is why processed hair goes limp, porous and prone to snapping. Olaplex works on those bonds rather than only on the surface, so the improvement shows in the strength of the strand rather than only in how it feels once dry.
The rest of it behaves like a good rich conditioner. Hydration for dry hair, enough slip to detangle without tearing, and a visible smoothness after the first use. Brushing and styling take less out of the hair as a result.
Best for anyone who colours, bleaches or chemically straightens, and worth pairing with the rest of the system if you are going to commit to it.
