This is the first layer, the thing that goes on before anything else. Mielle position it as frizz protection rather than styling, and that is a fair description. It smooths the surface of the hair and seals the cuticle so whatever you apply next has a flat, even base to sit on.
Avocado oil does the frizz work, tamanu seed oil conditions the scalp, and grapeseed oil handles the sealing. Behind those sit turmeric root extract, sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, olive fruit oil and panthenol. No silicones, sulphates, parabens, paraffins or mineral oil, and the brand does not test on animals. 8oz.
The slip is immediate, so it doubles as a detangler on wet hair. Best for textured hair that frizzes rather than hair that mainly needs weight, and it works under a cream or a gel without competing with either.
