This is the first layer, the thing that goes on before anything else. Mielle position it as frizz protection rather than styling, and that is a fair description. It smooths the surface of the hair and seals the cuticle so whatever you apply next has a flat, even base to sit on.
Avocado oil does the frizz work, tamanu seed oil conditions the scalp, and grapeseed oil handles the sealing. Behind those sit turmeric root extract, sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, olive fruit oil and panthenol. No silicones, sulphates, parabens, paraffins or mineral oil, and the brand does not test on animals. 8oz.
The slip is immediate, so it doubles as a detangler on wet hair. Best for textured hair that frizzes rather than hair that mainly needs weight, and it works under a cream or a gel without competing with either.

Application tips
Straight out of the shower, before you towel anything. Squeeze the excess water out with your hands, then apply in four sections, pressing it in with flat palms rather than raking. Detangle now, ends first, while the slip is at its best.
Nothing gets rinsed. Whatever you style with goes on top of this while the hair is still wet.
Results
The hair goes quiet. Strands that were standing away from each other lie back down and the surface feels smooth under a palm, not rough against the grain.
Anything you apply next spreads further, because it is no longer fighting a raised cuticle. Definition later in the sequence comes out cleaner for it, and the softness carries into a second day.
