Curl Quench is the thick one. Maui Moisture built it as a creamy rinse-out for hair with real density to it, coily or curly or heavily waved, and it is generous enough that you can use a proper amount without the bottle vanishing in a fortnight.
Coconut oil carries the conditioning. On thick hair the useful part is the detangling, meaning enough slip to get through a section with your fingers before a comb goes anywhere near it, which is where most of the breakage on wash day comes from.
