The 20 volume sits a step below the 30 in the Blond Studio system, and the trade is the usual one. Less lift, more control. Where 30 vol is for taking hair several levels up in a single process, 20 vol suits subtle highlights, corrective work and anything you would rather do slowly and watch as it develops.
The oil enriched base is what the range is built on. Traditional developers strip the hair's lipid barrier as they work, and this formula is designed to leave more of it intact, which shows up as less dryness and more shine once the lightener has been rinsed out.

Application tips
Reach for this when the target is two or three levels away, not seven. Choosing the volume is most of the skill.
Mix to the lightener's stated ratio, keep the bowl covered while you work and apply in fine weaves for highlights. Slower development gives you room to check and stop, so leave the foil open a fraction and look at colour rather than trusting a timer. Rinse at the level you wanted, not past it.
Results
The lift comes up gently and predictably, which is what corrective work and fine weaves need. There is time to watch it happen and pull it early.
Hair holds its condition better than it does under a stronger process. The oil in the formula leaves less of the dryness that follows a lightening service, so the ends stay softer and the finished tone sits cleaner. Toner applied afterwards takes more evenly on a fibre in decent shape.
