Cyclopentasiloxane and dimethiconol build the low-friction film, which is what stops the plates snagging and dragging on a section. Argan and jojoba oils condition and add the gloss. Hydrolysed wheat and silk proteins go into the strand to strengthen and improve elasticity, and vitamin E works as the antioxidant. Rated to 450°F (232°C).

How to use it
Detangle first, then hold the bottle 6 to 8 inches back and spray generously from roots to ends on towel-dried or dry hair. Work it through with a comb or your fingers, then flat iron section by section. A light mist over the finished style adds shine.

Application tips
Coverage matters more than quantity with a heat protectant, since an unsprayed patch takes the full temperature.
Work in four sections, lifting each one and spraying the underside as well as the top. Comb it through afterwards so it is spread rather than sitting in wet stripes. Let it dry for a minute before the iron touches it, because trapped water is what causes the sizzle.
