Bubble colour works like a mousse. You lather it through the way you would a shampoo, the foam spreads itself into the hair, and there is no sectioning or brushwork involved at any point. Fifteen to twenty-five minutes later you rinse it out.
The 25ml size is one application rather than a bottle you keep, which makes it a low-risk way to try a shade before committing to something permanent. It colours and conditions in the same pass, so the hair does not come out feeling stripped.
It was formulated with textured hair in mind, where even saturation is the usual difficulty. Foam gets into denser sections more reliably than cream does, and that is what keeps the finish uniform instead of patchy.

Application tips
Build the foam first, then push it into the hair with flat palms rather than fingertips, working from the back forward. Palms cover more ground and stop the foam collapsing before it has spread.
Once the head is covered, pile the hair loosely on top and leave it for the window given on the pack. Rinse until the water runs clear, then condition. One pack does one application, so do not stop halfway.
Results
Even colour is what foam does better than cream, and on dense or tightly coiled hair that is the whole argument for it. Roots and crown finish the same shade as the mid-lengths instead of coming out a stripe darker.
Hair feels conditioned rather than coated afterwards, and there is no ring of pigment left round the basin. Depth settles once the hair has fully dried.
