Design Essentials Nutriment RX Pea Sprout Creme Hairdress 4oz
Hairdress is the old name for a daily moisture cream, and the format has survived because it works. You use a small amount, every day, on hair that would otherwise go dry between washes.
Pea sprout extract, shea butter and lanolin oil make up the working part of this one. It is rich, so it earns its place on hair gone brittle from relaxers, colour or heat, and it softens the shaft enough that combing and styling stop being a fight. Hair feels more supple and holds up better against daily handling, which is the practical route to keeping the length you have.
It also leaves a light protective layer that holds moisture in through the day. Works under a wash-and-go, a twist-out or a protective style, and it suits type 3 and type 4 textures as well as relaxed hair.
Warm a small amount between your fingers first. It is stiff at room temperature and much easier to distribute once softened, and warming it also stops you using twice as much as you need.
4oz, and a jar this size lasts, because you barely need any.

Application tips
A hairdress is a daily dressing rather than a wash-day step. Take a small amount, warm it between the fingers, and smooth it over dry or damp hair from the mid-lengths down.
On relaxed hair it can go along the scalp too, in parts, which is the traditional way to use one. Keep the quantity modest on fine hair, since this is a rich cream and it will weigh hair down if you overdo it.
Results
Brittleness goes first. The hair turns soft and the shine comes up quickly. The cream sinks in rather than sitting on the surface, so the hair feels dressed rather than greased.
Elasticity improves over regular use, meaning the strand gives a little when pulled instead of snapping. Over-processed hair in particular reads healthier and combs out with less resistance.
