Monoi is coconut oil infused with tiare flower, heavier and more occlusive than coconut on its own. Paired together here, they make a shampoo aimed squarely at hair that has gone dry enough to feel rough between the fingers. The cleanse itself is gentle. It clears the scalp without pulling moisture out of already parched lengths, and the oils replace some of what any wash inevitably takes. Hair comes out soft, with noticeably more shine than a plain shampoo gives you, and it is mild enough for colour-treated hair without rushing the tone out.
Eight ounces. Best on dry textured hair, or on anything that has been through heat and needs moisture put back before styling starts. Fine hair may find it too rich for every wash, in which case alternate it with something lighter.

Application tips
Soak the hair right through before the bottle comes out. Textured hair repels water at the start, so a proper soak before the shampoo goes on makes it spread instead of clinging in one patch.
Apply to the scalp in parts, massage with fingertips, then let the suds run down the lengths as you rinse. One wash is usually enough unless there is heavy product in there. Condition immediately afterwards.
Results
Brittle hair is left clean without that stripped, straw-like feeling, and the scalp stays comfortable rather than tight.
The lengths stay supple enough to comb wet, and colour-treated hair keeps its depth rather than going flat and dull after the wash. Hair dries softer and looks brighter than it does under a standard cleanser.
