Setting lotion is an old-fashioned category that textured hair never stopped needing. It is the thing that turns a twist into a twist-out that actually holds.
This one is ready to use straight from the bottle, no mixing, and it carries panthenol, silk amino acids and botanical oils. The hold is medium, so styles stay locked in without turning stiff, and the shine it leaves is the reason a set done with lotion looks different from one done with cream alone. Damp hair, not wet. Setting lotion on soaking hair takes far longer to dry and the set comes out looser than you wanted, so towel or t-shirt dry first, then work in sections.
The detangling side is quietly useful. It gives the hair enough slip that sectioning and twisting go faster, and less tugging means fewer snapped ends.

Application tips
Ready to use straight from the bottle, so no diluting. Work through wet hair section by section, then twist, braid, coil or wrap onto rods depending on the set you want.
Let it dry completely before taking anything down. A half-dry set unravels into frizz. Take the twists apart with oiled fingers, separate gently, and lift at the roots with a pick rather than a comb.
Results
Sets come out shiny and well defined, holding their shape for days rather than softening overnight. The hold is medium, so hair still moves and still feels like hair.
There is no stiffness and no crunch to break out, and the lotion detangles as it goes on, which makes twisting a much shorter job. Day four still looks intentional.
