Weight is the deciding factor with a daily moisturiser. Too heavy and it builds up by Wednesday. Too light and it has gone by lunchtime. This one is built at the light end and made to be reapplied.
Jojoba oil, olive oil and cocoa butter carry the conditioning in a lotion that absorbs quickly and leaves nothing greasy behind. It seals the cuticle after it moisturises, which is what keeps the water in rather than letting it evaporate out of the strand by mid-afternoon.
Design Essentials made it for natural, curly and coily hair, and it holds up on weaves too. The 12oz bottle is a working size for daily use rather than a treat.
It also does a good job as a second-day refresher. Dampen the hair, work a little through the length, and the curls come back without a full restyle.

Application tips
A small amount goes a long way here, so start with less than you think. Rub it between the palms and smooth it over damp or dry hair, ends and mid-lengths first, roots last if at all.
On a weave or extensions, run it along the visible hair rather than working it into the tracks. Daily is fine. If the hair starts feeling coated rather than soft, you are using too much.
Results
Dry curls turn soft and pliable within seconds and stay that way, without the greasy film that heavier creams leave on the palms. Hair feels lighter after it than before.
Frizz settles and the strand smooths enough that styling takes less effort the following morning. Coils and weaves both hold moisture for longer between washes, which is really the whole job of a daily lotion.
