Design Essentials Agave and Lavender Moisturizing & Detangling Conditioner 12oz
This one belongs to the Agave and Lavender blow-dry and silk press range, which tells you what it is optimised for: hair that is about to meet heat.
The formula is sulphate-free and built on natural agave, lavender oils, mango fruit butters and antioxidants. Two things come out of that. The first is slip, enough of it to detangle tightly coiled hair without pulling. The second is tensile strength, meaning the strand resists stretching and snapping, which is precisely what gets tested when a round brush and a dryer work through a section under tension.
If you press or blow-dry natural hair, the conditioning step beforehand does more to protect the result than anything you apply afterwards. Dry, tangled hair takes more passes, and more passes is more damage.
12oz. Apply after shampooing, detangle while it is on, rinse well, then dry as normal. It works just as well ahead of an air-dry if heat is not part of your routine.

Application tips
Squeeze the water out first. Conditioner applied to soaking hair mostly runs down the drain, so a hard blot makes the whole bottle last longer.
Coat from the ends up, leaving the roots lighter, and clip each finished section away. Once every section is coated, go back to the first one and start combing from the tips, working up in short passes. Rinse under cool water when the comb runs clean.
Results
Slip arrives immediately. Knots that would normally need picking apart loosen under the fingers, and a wide-tooth comb travels without that dragging sensation at the crown.
Rinsed out, the hair feels smooth rather than slick, and it holds up under tension. That matters if a round brush is coming next, because a strand with give in it survives being pulled straight far better than a dry one.
