Length retention is a breakage problem, not a growth problem.

Hair that snaps at the ends never gets to look longer, however healthy the rest of it is. This sulphate-free shampoo is built around that idea. It cleanses gently, keeps moisture in the strand, and cuts down the friction that does the damage in the first place.

The lather comes up fast, which matters more than it sounds. A quick-lathering formula means less time working product through wet, fragile hair, so wash day is shorter and rougher on nobody. Build-up, dirt and scalp residue still come away properly.

It is aimed at textured, curly and coily hair, particularly anyone dealing with dry, brittle ends or hair that will not hold onto the length it has. Twelve ounces, and it works best as the cleansing half of a routine that also runs a deep conditioner.

Application tips

Section dense hair into four before you start, because a 12oz bottle disappears fast if you try to cover everything at once. Work the shampoo into the scalp only, then let it run down the lengths.

Rinse and follow with a conditioner or a deep treatment. Every seven to ten days suits most protective-style routines, and sooner if you have been using heavy butters.

Results

The scalp is left clean of buildup and the hair does not go squeaky, so curls keep enough moisture to survive the gap before conditioner.

Strands that were snapping under a comb feel more resilient, and the practical outcome is length retained through the detangle. Dry, brittle ends come out softer and the curl pattern reads cleanly once dry.
